About this file
This document contains a justification and approval for other than full and open competition for a federal construction contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract for the installation of Tork brand toilet tissue and hand towel roll dispensers as part of a project to construct an addition for a new PET-CT building at the Dayton VA Medical Center. The justification cites that Tork is the only manufacturer of these products, and using matching dispensers will minimize supply stocking needs across the campus. The contract value is between $1 million and $5 million. As a construction project, it is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and requires a minimum of 25% of work to be performed by the contractor or a subcontractor. The solicitation will be posted on November 9, 2020 with proposals due approximately 30 days later.
