About this file
This document contains a request for information (RFI) regarding a solicitation to renovate Building 34 at the James H. The RFI provides responses to 70 questions from contractors seeking clarification on specifications, drawings, and other requirements. Key areas addressed in the RFI responses include confirmation that paneling and wall finishes are to be removed in several rooms, clarification that repair work will be included in scope but quantified through field surveys, identification of floor and wall finishes to be removed and referred for asbestos testing, and notes regarding furniture and equipment removal and treatment of existing plaster, flooring, and sprinkler systems. The RFI aims to ensure contractors have the information needed to fully understand renovation requirements prior to submitting proposals.
