INFORMATION NEEDED:
35. 34-AD-103 Note 11 states "to remove lockers in their entirety." The drawings show 26 sets of lockers to be removed, however, during the walkthrough, there appeared to be more sets of lockers throughout the maintenance unit B space. Please provide the accurate number of lockers that are to be removed by the contractor?
36. Reference Note 13 on Sheet 34-G-001: During the bidding phase, there is not enough time or access to the site to safely & accurately field verify the exact location of all existing equipment, ductwork, piping, etc. If existing as-built drawings cannot be provided and relied upon as accurate, can the VA confirm that any unforeseen site condition, not indicated or shown on the contractor documents, be treated as a change order?
37. Has the roof had previous repairs in any areas where there were obvious leaks (staining on ceiling, etc.)?
38. Sheet 34-FX-105 references a Cloud Ceiling System in Note 3 for the sprinkler protection. Since the cloud ceiling system is not part of this this contract, it cannot be installed as indicated on the fire protection drawings.
Therefore, does the VA intend to add the cloud ceiling scope to the contract? Or does the VA intend for the contractor to install the sprinkler at the existing height of Room 104?
39. There is insulation pulled down in parts of the attic space, as seen at the site visit. Does the VA want the contractor to re-hang this insulation?
40. Prior to the required roof survey, stated on 34-A-102, being conducted, does the VA want the existing insulation in the attic removed and rehung after the survey is conducted?
41. Reference Sheet 34-A-105 Sidewalk and ramp scope and retailing wall detail. Note 20 on 34-AD-105 that states that the ramp and 80' wide sidewalks are to be removed. It also states to sawcut slab at curb to allow for clean joint at new sidewalks. There are no drawings that show new sidewalks. Please provide a Civil drawing to show the exact area that is required to demolished and further define the sidewalks that are required to be put back.
42. What is the scope of work for the area where the ramp is removed? Is this to become seeded after demo?
Please define this scope.
43. Note 3 on 34-AD-102 states to remove the HVAC structural support in its entirety. Can you provide an existing as-build detail on how it's tied into the building?
