About this file
This is a Written Specifications document for foodservice equipment installation at Hodge Elementary School in Azusa, California, prepared by LGM Design Group as the consulting firm. The project involves the furnishing and installation of a complete foodservice equipment package, including one custom walk-in cooler manufactured by RMI, thirteen MetroMax Q shelving units (42" wide x 18" deep, 4-tier configuration), one Cooltec Refrigeration evaporator coil (medium temperature, model BEC0095AY7AMB), and one Cooltec Refrigeration refrigeration rack (model RZM20-2T) with swivel casters. The specifications establish comprehensive requirements for equipment fabrication, installation procedures, quality assurance standards, and contractor responsibilities. The document mandates that the Foodservice Equipment Contractor coordinate all aspects of work with the General Contractor and other trades, provide a competent superintendent for supervision, submit detailed shop drawings and rough-in plans within three weeks of contract award, and obtain all necessary permits and inspection certificates prior to final payment.
The specifications require the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for complete installation in strict accordance with drawings and applicable local codes, including coordination of plumbing, electrical, and ventilation rough-ins with other trades. All custom fabricated equipment must be manufactured by an approved foodservice equipment fabricator with minimum five years of demonstrated experience in equipment manufacture or distribution. The contractor is responsible for all field measurements, dimensional verification, daily cleanup and debris removal, and delivery of equipment on schedule. A one-year guarantee covering defective materials, design, and workmanship is required, with manufacturer's representatives providing demonstration and instruction at designated times. The contractor must also provide a competent service representative during equipment startup and operation and deliver three bound sets of operating and maintenance manuals with authorized service agency contact information to the owner upon project completion.
