The estimated annual contract value is approximately $50,000 with an initial term of up to one year and two optional one-year renewals. Contract start date is no later than 21 days from award. Contractors must comply with New Jersey's Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Contractor Registration requirements, submit certified payroll records to the township and the New Jersey Department of Labor within 10 days of payment, and maintain workers' compensation and commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 each occurrence. The township reserves the right to adjust quantities and may terminate with 60 days' notice or for default. Proposals are submitted electronically through the OpenGov Procurement portal.

The Passaic Board of Education is soliciting bids for one Class A Armed Security Officer to provide year-round security services at Beis Yaakov Machon Ora nonpublic school, with bids due September 15, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and questions due September 8, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
The security officer will work approximately 40 hours per week on a fixed schedule: Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at 217 Brook Avenue, Entrance #2. Primary duties are to prohibit unauthorized entry and maintain order inside and around the facility. The Nonpublic School Director will assign duties and reserves the right to modify the role, assignment, or location as deemed necessary.
Contractors must hold a minimum of three years of continuous security services experience in educational, office, or commercial retail space and meet all New Jersey licensing requirements for armed security officers. All security staff must complete 24 hours of initial classroom instruction and at least six days of annual firm non-range training plus two days of annual range training. Pre-employment requirements include background checks, fingerprinting, S.O.R.A. certification, drug and alcohol testing, and psychological evaluation. The contractor must maintain 24-hour senior management availability.
Pricing is an hourly rate billed for actual time worked on site with no flat fees or estimates accepted; holiday pay is compensated at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate. All overhead costs, training, travel, and related expenses are the contractor's responsibility. A bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check equal to ten percent of the total bid amount (not to exceed $20,000) and a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount are required.
The contract term runs through June 30, 2027, with the district retaining an option to renew annually for up to two one-year extensions or one two-year extension based on satisfactory performance. Passaic County has established a Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Set-Aside Program under Resolution No. R20210933, establishing goals of ten percent of professional services spending awarded to WBEs and ten percent to MBEs, with objectives to reach twenty percent for each category by 2024.
Respondents must hold State of New Jersey licensure in engineering, architecture, surveying, planning, site remediation, and/or landscape architecture, and must demonstrate a minimum of five years' public sector experience. The RFQ encompasses twenty-one service categories including bridge inspection, roadway improvements, environmental engineering, architectural services, land surveying, and planning. Services include lab packing with chemist/technician labor, packing materials, and mobilization; disposal by container size and waste type; universal waste handling; and emergency response. The District requires emergency response within 24 hours with no flexibility.
Pricing is structured across multiple sections covering disposal by container size, lab packing services including labor and materials, waste type, universal waste, emergency response, and containers and supplies. Vendors must submit comprehensive and transparent pricing that avoids duplicate billing across categories and must clearly document pricing assumptions and methodologies. The District does not provide historical annual expenditure data, as services are utilized on an as-needed or emergency basis.
The budgeted amount for 2026 exceeds the bid threshold. The current vendor is TTI Environmental. Liquidated damages for delays or improper performance range from $500 to $1,500 per calendar day per incident under N.J.S.A. 12A:2-718. Addendum 3, issued May 13, 2026, provides clarifications and answers to vendor questions.

The City of Newark, New Jersey is requesting bids for armed security guards under ITB 2026-12, with electronic bids due by 2:00 pm on June 3, 2026 and questions due by 2:00 pm on May 22, 2026. No pre-bid conference will be held.
The scope covers armed security personnel deployed across multiple city locations including municipal buildings, recreation centers, shelters, and departmental offices, with staffing levels ranging from one to four personnel per shift across early morning through midnight shifts, seven days a week. The vendor must maintain a twenty-four-hour manned command dispatch center with overhead costs equally distributed across all contracts held by the vendor. The contract term is twelve consecutive months from execution with the option for up to two additional one-year extensions at the City's discretion.
Pricing must include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at no additional cost. Bidders must submit a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, not to exceed $20,000, if the bid exceeds $53,000. The successful bidder must submit a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the acceptable bid. All bidders must comply with New Jersey prevailing wage requirements and federal Service Contract Labor Standards (Guard I and Guard II classifications). The lowest responsive and responsible bidder receives the award. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the contract amount, award to multiple vendors, and cancel if funds become unavailable. Major contract violations carry $1,000 penalties and minor violations $500; three major or five minor violations trigger a responsibility hearing that may result in termination.
