About this opportunity

The Township of Wayne, New Jersey is soliciting engineering services for irrigation system replacement and upgrade at Laurelwood Arboretum, with proposals due October 30, 2026.

The scope spans three phases. In Preliminary Design, the consultant reviews existing drawings, plans, and records; conducts site visits and field investigations; evaluates existing equipment, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and structural components; develops replacement and upgrade recommendations including electrical, mechanical, structural, and safety improvements; prepares an opinion of probable construction cost; and identifies any required NJDEP or applicable Soil Erosion permits. Final Design comprises two parallel tracks: Plans and Specifications (preliminary and final plans and specifications prepared for Township review, revised based on comments, required permits submitted, final construction documents and cost estimate delivered); and Bidding and Award (response to contractor inquiries during bidding, attendance at pre-bid meetings, bid review, and award recommendation). Construction Administration requires attendance at pre-construction meetings, review of shop drawings and submittals for compliance, construction inspection services as needed, observation of equipment start-up and testing, and final inspection with punch list development.

No contract value, budget range, or term is specified in the source material. No incumbent contractor is identified. No evaluation criteria or weighting are stated. No pre-bid meeting date, question deadline, or other interim milestone within the October 30 proposal window is provided.
