J. COMMUNICATIONS: Interior communications shall be Government Furnished Government installed.
Systems shall include telephone, intercom/PA (w/speaker w/volume control), computer/data, and fire alarm.
Requirements for conduit, raceways and junctions boxes shall be coordinated with Base communications.
The facility (ies) design shall meet NEC requirements. The manufactured facility must be roughed in as outlined in the statement of work (see the room by room requirements) including conduit and termination boxes in walls for data and phone. The contractor will provide racks, termination blocks and patch panels for the phone/data system in the communications closet. Reference EIA/TIA 568b and EIA/TIA 569 for additional information. Intercept an underground conduit and run 2” SCH 40 PVC conduit into the communications closet. The run will be roughly 30 ft dependant on the trailer location. The government will provide network switch and jumpers for data ports; the switch will be mounted in the contractor provided racks.
