7. Hardware:
7.1. See attached specification section 08710 Door Hardware; finish to match existing.
7.1.1. Provide new hardware on new doors.
7.1.2. Doors to be keyed to Ft. Benning keying system; provide five keys per level of keying as instructed by DPW real estate division (Eric Connor).
7.1.3. Key all exterior doors alike to match existing door locks.
7.1.4. Interior doors keyed separately.
7.1.5. Master key
7.1.6. Grand master key.
7.1.7. All new locksets to be lever type design.
7.1.8. Install Weather stripping and door bottom seals on doors.
7.1.9. Contractor shall install new doors, frames, hardware, closers, and lock.
7.2. Exterior Door Hardware: Exterior door hardware shall include the following items. Items not specifically identified shall be provided based on suitability of use, durability, and aesthetic character. Finishes on exterior hardware shall match existing hardware.
7.2.1. General: All exterior doors shall have new heavy duty metal kick plates, stainless steel thresholds, weather stripping, door stops, and locking hardware as indicated on the drawings. All door hardware shall be stainless steel construction.
7.2.2. Hinges; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.1; template, full mortise, heavy duty, ball bearing, minimum size 4‐ 1/2" x 4‐1/2", non‐ferrous base metal, non‐removable pins.
7.2.3. Locksets; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.2; , Grade 1, non‐ferrous base metal, 7‐pin removable core compatible with the Base keying system. Lever handles shall be provided per ABA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities. All new locksets to be lever type design.
7.2.4. Exit doors to the exterior (except for mechanical rooms) will be equipped with a full width heavy duty panic hardware device. Exit (Panic) Devices; devices shall comply with ANSI/BHMA 156.3; heavy‐duty touch‐pad type, through‐ bolted mounting. Listed and labeled for panic protection based on UL 305.
7.2.5. Closers; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.4; series C02000, Grade 1, hydraulic, factory‐sized, and adjustable to meet field conditions, mounted on interior of doors. Include overhead hold‐open capability on exterior door closers.
7.2.6. Auxiliary Hardware; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.16. Provide wall or floor stops for all exterior doors.
Provide other hardware as necessary for a complete installation.
7.2.7. Kick Plates; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.6 and shall be non‐ferrous metal.
7.2.8. Thresholds; Thresholds shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.21 and ABA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities. Thresholds shall be non‐ferrous metal and shall be provided at all exterior doors.
7.2.9. Weatherstripping; shall comply with ANSI/BHMA A156.22 and shall be provided at all exterior doors.
7.3. Doors to be keyed to Ft. Benning keying system;
7.3.1. Provide five keys per level of keying as instructed by DPW real estate division.
7.3.1.1. Key all exterior doors alike.
7.3.1.2. Interior doors keyed separately.
7.3.1.3. Master key
