PROJECT TITLE: MATOC Seed Project; Replace HVAC System, Building 2882, Fort Benning, Georgia
SUBJECT: Addendum No. 4 – RFI Comment Changes
1. Upon review and responding to 145 request for information changes from soliciting contractors for the subject contract, the following changes to the contract documents are required:
a. Scope of Work Document, dated 15 May 2019, was revised and replaced by the revised
Statement of Work dated 11 June 2019 (Enclosure 1). The revised changes to the document include the following:
1) Division 001, General:
a) Page 1 under the header top of the page, change the “For Directorate of Family, Moral, and Welfare and Recreation” to “For Directorate of Public Works”.
b) Add new paragraph 1) to Division 001 General, page 1 to read as “Contractor shall coordinate the work with all other trades, the construction drawings, specs and statement of work and as directed by the Contracting Officer.”
c) Change the header date to 11 June 2019.
d) Paragraph 2) change the first sentence to read as follows:
“The project includes replacement of the HVAC system complete with architectural, electrical, and plumbing supporting work, renovations to the building interior, and design work to install new cooling tower enclosures, metal canopies at the first and second floor entry ways, replace the entire fire alarm system, and modify the fire suppression on the second floor to satisfy the new floor plan”.
e) Paragraph 9, change the last sentence to read as “Schedule power outages through the DPW inspector”.
f) Paragraph 10.f, change the sentence to read as “Saw cut and remove sections of the brick veneer to provide openings for HVAC and plumbing system components”.
g) Paragraph 10.h, delete the second sentence.
h) Delete paragraph 14.a.
i) Add paragraph 19) MICC Document Changes on page 7.
2) Division 006, WOOD:
a) Delete this section completely.
3) Division 008, DOORS AND WINDOWS:
a) Paragraph 3, add to the end of the sentence “(30 windows)”.
4) Division 015 Mechanical:
a) Paragraph 3, Plumbing System, delete paragraph d.
b) Paragraph 4, Submittal Requirements, add subparagraph j to read as “Drawings for replacement of the fire alarm system with mass notification.”
b. As‐Built Drawings: Add as‐built drawings A03, S1, and S5 dated 1998.
c. Revise solicitation drawings 43632‐A2, 43632‐M3, 43623‐M10, 43632‐M11, 43632‐M12, 43632‐P3, and 43632‐P4 dated 11 June 2019. Changes were required to correct deficiencies on the drawings.
d. Replace the current lists of specifications and drawings with the revised lists.
1) The List of Specifications was revised to delete the Toilet Compartment specification.
2) The List of Drawings was revised to show drawings 43632‐A2, M3, P3, and P4 were revised dated 11 June 2019, and to show the addition of as‐built drawings A03, S1, and
S5 dated 1998.
