About this file
This is an attachment to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that specifies modifications to employee break periods and nepotism policies for the Fort Rucker, AL Full Food Service contract. The document outlines mandatory break provisions for dining facility (DFAC) employees, including a thirty-minute unpaid meal period for shifts exceeding four hours, scheduled at Management's discretion based on workload requirements. Employees working shifts longer than three hours receive a fifteen-minute paid rest break, which cannot be combined with meal periods or taken at shift boundaries. If an employee is called back during a break, they receive full compensation for that break plus an additional break period when workload permits. The CBA replaces Article XXVII regarding nepotism with a provision prohibiting the scheduling of two or more immediate family members on the same shift within the same dining facility, with immediate family defined to include spouses, parents, children, siblings, in-laws, grandparents, and grandchildren.
This CBA modification is a contractual requirement for the solicitation W5168W27RA014 issued by the Mission Installation Contracting Command - Installation Readiness Center (MICC IRC) on behalf of the Army Sustainment Command. The Full Food Service contract encompasses dining facility management, food receiving and storage, food preparation, food serving, remote site feeding, and facility sanitation at Fort Rucker, AL, with a period of performance from 14 December 2026 through 14 December 2029. The revised proposal submission deadline is 5 November 2026 at 12:00 PM CT, with technical questions due by 23 October 2026.
