About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation W50S6Y-25-B-A004, dated 3/11/2025, for the F-35 Combined Weapons Facility project. The Q&A addresses four technical inquiries related to project specifications, including details about metal awning specifications, fall restraint requirements, existing pavement thicknesses, and wall panel configurations. Key clarifications include referencing specific specification sections for metal fabrications and safety requirements, noting that existing pavement thicknesses should be verified in the field, and confirming that the facility will use 3" smooth metal panels in the administration area and 4" corrugated metal panels for the rest of the facility.
The associated federal contract opportunity is a Small Business Set Aside construction project for the Florida Army National Guard, valued between $10M to $25M. The project involves constructing a 22,696 square-foot Consolidated Weapons Facility at the 125th Fighter Wing Joint Installation, Jacksonville, FL. The scope includes building a hangar bay, weapons and release system shops, administrative spaces, and associated site work such as environmental remediation, demolition of existing structures, and pavement installation. The solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov, with award contingent on fund availability, and is targeted for small businesses with a NAICS code of 236220 and a size standard of $45M.

SOLICITATION W50S6Y-25-B-A004 Combine Weapons Fac- LSGA239001
Addendum 03 Q&A
Date of Bid Inquiry: 3/11/2025
Ques ons 1:
Please provide specifica on for the metal awning to match keynote 10.73.02. Again, we do not have a specifica on 10 73 02.
AE Response: Keynotes don’t always e back to a specific specifica on. Please refer to the Shade Detail on page A-322 as well as specifica on 05 50 13 Miscellaneous Metal Fabrica ons.
Ques ons 2:
Drawing A-142 has a symbol with reference to fall restraint spec sec on 11 01 50. Where do we find this sec on because it was not included with our specifica ons.
AE Response: Please refer to specifica on 01 35 26 Governmental Safety Requirements-subsec on 3.5.2.
Ques ons 3:
Ref. CD101: Please provide thickness of exis ng asphalt paving, exis ng concrete paving and exis ng building slabs.
AE Response: The thicknesses of exis ng asphalt paving, exis ng concrete paving, and exis ng building slabs are not noted in the geotechnical report or topographic survey; Please verify in field.
Ques ons 4:
A. There seems to be a discrepancy in the plans, for the wall types shown. On Sheet A-312, Wall sec on Type A10 shows a 3” Insulated Metal Panel, but on Sheet A311 and A313, Wall sec on
Type A10 shows a 4” Insulated Metal Panel. Please confirm if the wall type A10 is 3” or 4” panel.
B. There are other instances showing wall types with insulated metal panels, both 3” and 4”, are they all the same thickness throughout the project, or do they vary? Please confirm.
AE Response: The design intent is to have 3" smooth metal panels in the front of the facility at the administra on por on only. The rest of the facility is 4" corrugated metal panel. See below pic shows where the smooth 3" metal panel is intended to be installed encapsulated with the red polyline. All other panels are 4" corrugated panels.
