QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

Page 6-9, No

RFI #

Amendment 4, Pricing

Schedule

Where are the site or 5' outside the building line #'s being carried if it is an item like the new parking lot and paver area that coincides with both buildings 2609 & 2611. For instance if CLIN 0003AB is exercised over CLIN 0002AB does the parking lot and paver area go away as well? There are other considerations such as exterior mechanical yards, storm drainage systems and dumpster pads that could be shared between sites and are not directly related to one building.

See the revised Price Proposal Form, below. Each CLIN should be a standalone, complete and usable project.

B. The following provides corrections to the Government’s previously provided preaward inquiry responses:

REFERENCE

Page Section Para.

QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

Part 3 Part 3 2.G &.F

Refers to Extended and Expanded Suite Requirements; FC 4-721-10N indicates that O1 suites are designed for double occupancy. Please clarify whether these identified in Part 3 2(Project Objectives).F(Suite Requirements) and .G (Kitchenette) Extended and Expanded Suites are single occupancy or greater.

Reference to UFC 4-721-10N is incorrect. Use UFC 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities for requirements.

Part 3 Part 3 2.G &.F

Room Requirement s

FC 4-721-10N indicates that each bedroom should have an accompanying closet; however, there are no closet requirements listed in suite descriptions in Part 3 Project Objectives nor Room Requirements. Please indicate if this is required.

Reference to UFC 4-721-10N is incorrect. Use UFC 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities for Suite Closet requirements.

Part 3 Room Requirement s

Neither Part 3 Room Requirements for

"TYPICAL SUITE

BATHROOM/SHOWER" nor Part 3 D201005 SHOWERS/TUBS" provide required size of shower; FC 4-721-10N indicates that 9SF shower is required minimum for rennovations. Please verify whether this is acceptable.

Reference to UFC 4-721-10N is incorrect. Use UFC 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities for TYPICAL

SUITE BATHROOM/SHOWER

room requirements.

Part 3 D201003

LAVATORI

ES

Part 3 D201003 LAVATORIES indicates "Provide wall mounted lavatories made of vitreous china, with manual single lever faucet in private restroom spaces." while Part 3 Room Requirements for "TYPICAL SUITE BATHROOM/SHOWER" state " ...full length of the counter over the lavatories." FC 4-721-10N indicates that "Cabinets shall be provided with a lavatory with a minimum four drawers, and a pair of doors with a minimum 36 inch (91.44 cm) width with centered bowl." Please clarify whether sinks should be wall mounted or require counter with casework.

Reference to UFC 4-721-10N is incorrect. Use UFC 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities for TYPICAL

SUITE BATHROOM/SHOWER

room requirements.

Part 3 Room Requirement s

Part 3 Room Requirements for

"TYPICAL SUITE

BATHROOM/SHOWER" indicate that the lavatory shall be included in space;

FC 4-721-10N indicates that seperates spaces are preferred for lavatories.

Please clarify if lavatories shall be accommodated outside of "TYPICAL

SUITE BATHROOM/SHOWER" .

UFC 4-721-10N is incorrect UFC.

The correct UFC is 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities. The Government doesn't have a preference for separated versus non-separated lavatories. DOR is to determine.

30 Part 3 C101001 Fixed

Partitions

Sound rated partition assemblies shall have a minimum STC of 42, however FC 4-721-10N requires STC 50 between units, and cooridors, and STC 45 at walls within living units. Please clarifiy if Part 3 ESR requirement allows for a lower STC value.

UFC 4-721-10N is the incorrect UFC.

Comply with UFC 4-720-01 Lodging Facilities.

What is the exterior fininsh required on the new stair towers attached to the ends of each building? We believe that a nice architectural precast finish would work well, is that acceptable?

Contractor to provide per the RFP.

Stairwell to match existing conditions as found in Building 2617.

C. This amendment also updates the Price Proposal Form, below.

D. All other contract terms and conditions remain unchanged.
