About this file
This file is a detailed pest control services specification for unaccompanied housing facilities at Naval Base Guam, including NBG buildings, Apra Palms, Camp Covington, Naval Base Guam Munition Site Bachelor Quarters, Naval Hospital Coral Ridge, and Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz BOQ & BEQ buildings.
The specification outlines comprehensive pest control requirements including prevention and control of nuisance pests, public health pests, structure-damaging pests, and vertebrate pests. Key requirements include certification by Guam Environmental Protection Agency, integrated pest management approaches, detailed reporting requirements, and specific response times (ranging from 24 hours to 10 days depending on pest type). The contractor must provide all equipment, pesticides, and personnel, maintain proper licensing and permits, and follow strict safety protocols. Historical data shows approximately 500-600 pest control service orders annually. The work includes both scheduled maintenance (every 2 weeks for most facilities) and unscheduled service calls. The contractor must provide a 5-year warranty for termite treatments with liability limits of $25,000 per building.
