About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Standard Form 30) issued by NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic for solicitation N40085-26-R-9014 regarding BEQ Chiller Repairs at multiple facilities (FC66, HP476, BB137, BB270, BB274, BB275, and HP121). Amendment 0001, effective March 6, 2026, answers ten requests for information and provides clarifications on the scope of work. The receipt date for proposals remains unchanged. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment with their proposal submission, or the proposal may face rejection.
The amendment clarifies work requirements across seven facility locations, including chiller and pump replacements with associated piping, electrical, and equipment modifications. Key clarifications include: both pumps at HP-121 and HP-476 must be replaced along with suction diffusers, triple duty valves, disconnects, and VFDs; the temporary chiller in the parking lot at HP-121 will remain in place; FC66 requires replacement of pumps P-3, P-4, P-5 (chiller yard) and P-6, P-7 (Room 1304); at HP-476, only the center chiller is to be replaced; buffer tank and inertia tank specifications have been provided; and all sites require replacement of suction diffusers and triple duty valves. Additional details specify electrical disconnects, piping replacement requirements, heat tracing, re-insulation of chilled water piping, and emergency chiller connection specifications requiring lug-type butterfly valves with bolted cover plates. Contractors are responsible for verifying clearances and confirming that existing equipment pads accommodate new equipment.
