About this file

This document contains two equipment schedules for high-efficiency chiller and pump systems.

The High Efficiency Air Cooled Chiller (CH) Schedule specifies two chiller units (CH-1 and CH-2), each with a nominal capacity of 110 tons. Both units feature full load efficiency ratings of 9.6 IPLV EER and 15.5 NPLV EER, with evaporator and condenser specifications including 42.0 GPM flow rates and 173.7 PD (PT H2O) pressure drops. Each chiller includes a scroll-type condenser with 2 circuits, 4 capacity steps, and R410a refrigerant. Heat recovery specifications indicate 32 GPM flow with 135/150 PSI pressure drop capability. Electrical requirements are 480/3/60 volts/phase/hertz with 228.0 MCA and 250.0 MOP ratings. Both units are TRANE model CGAM 110 units. Critical design requirements include sound attenuation packages not exceeding 95 dBA, factory-installed heat tracing, salt spray corrosion testing per ASTM B117, operation capability at temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and louvered panels for condenser coil protection against vandalism and debris.

The Pump Schedule specifies five pump units serving various functions: two inline primary hot water return circulation pumps (BP-1 to BP-6), secondary chilled water pumps (P-1,2), primary chilled water pumps (P-3,4,5), secondary chilled water pumps (P-6,7), and condenser heat recovery pumps (P-8,3). Pumps range from 7.5 to 15 motor horsepower with 1750 RPM ratings and serve locations including mechanical rooms and chiller yards. All motors are specified as premium efficiency type with variable speed drive capability, configured in parallel with 2 pumps for full load conditions plus 1 shared redundant pump. Impeller diameters range from 6.0 to 9.1 inches with minimum efficiencies between 2% and 15%.
