About this file
This is a Project Description document for a chiller replacement contract at BEQ (Bachelor Enlisted Quarters) buildings. The contractor is responsible for replacing chillers and associated equipment at three facilities: HP476 (125-ton chiller and 1 chilled water pump), FC66 (2 110-ton chillers and 6 chiller water pumps), and BB137 (110-ton chiller, 1 chilled water pump, and variable frequency drive). The contractor must verify chiller and disconnect sizes before proceeding with installation.
Operations at the facilities will continue throughout the construction period, requiring the contractor to minimize interference with normal activities. The contractor is responsible for moving furniture and other room contents as necessary. Supervision requirements allow a single qualified individual to serve as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Safety & Health Officer, provided that person meets all three position qualifications as defined in the project specification.
