About this file
This is a Continuation Sheet – Modification "A" for a Marine Corps construction project at MCB Camp Lejeune – Hadnot Point, Jacksonville, NC, dated 23 April 2026. The modification revises requirements for the FY 26 Marine Corps Barracks – Repair by Replacement project (eProjects Work Order Number 1894554).
The modification updates environmental controls and design standards across three primary areas. In Section 01 57 19 (Temporary Environmental Controls), language addressing surplus soils disposal is revised to require contractors to anticipate all surplus soil media as contaminant-impacted—including PFAS/PFOA, petroleum, metals, VOCs, and PAHs—and dispose of it at licensed, permitted facilities accepting such materials with proper characterization. Similarly, construction dewatering effluent requirements are revised to mandate contractors anticipate all dewatering effluent as contaminant-impacted and treat it to non-detect levels prior to discharge into an existing vegetated swale at a location approved by the Contracting Officer. In Part 3B (Project Program), all references to UFC 3-600-10N are replaced with UFC 3-600-01 (Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities). Under Section 2.6 (Special Design Challenges), the Government will provide a revised Total Building Commissioning section with no additional coordination effort anticipated from the contractor. Finally, under G201090 (Other Roadways), references to ESR Section D4090 are replaced with UFC 3-600-01, and the requirement for roadways to accommodate two fire truck trips monthly is removed.
