About this file

This is a structured cabling system floor plan drawing for Swartz Creek Middle School, created by Convergent Technology Partners and dated January 2025. The drawing shows the layout and specifications for Category 6A cable installation throughout Unit A of the middle school, including detailed placement instructions for wall locations, ceiling mounts, and telecom cabinets. The plan includes general notes specifying that all UTP cable must meet ANSI/TIA Category 6A standards, with wall locations requiring surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates.

The floor plan illustrates various rooms including band, offices, practice rooms, wrestling area, cafeteria, kitchen, boiler room, and storage areas. Technical specifications require white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks for all Category 6A cable terminations, with ceiling locations requiring service loops long enough to reach the farthest point in associated rooms. The plan includes specific installation requirements such as concealing cables below ceiling in contractor-provided raceways, centering wall locations below whiteboards at standard height, and grounding requirements for all cabinets. The drawing includes a symbol legend identifying wall UTP locations, ceiling UTP locations, telecom cabinets, telecom bus-bar, and fireplace cabinet locations.
