About this file

This is a structured cabling system design drawing for Swartz Creek Community Schools' Swartz Creek High School Unit B, created by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details specifications for UTP cable installations, focusing on the Performing Arts Center area and includes requirements for ANSI/TIA Category 6A cabling, surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates, and specific installation heights and locations relative to whiteboards. The design is dated January 24, 2025, with an earlier design version from December 17, 2024.

The technical specifications require all Category 6A cables to terminate on white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks, with cable below ceiling to be concealed in contractor-provided raceway. Ceiling locations must include service loops sufficient to reach the farthest point in associated rooms. The drawing includes provisions for telecom cabinets, new and existing bus-bars, and notes that all cabinets require grounding. The scale drawing provides a detailed floor plan with symbol legends indicating UTP locations, ceiling UTP locations, telecom cabinets, and bus-bar placements within Unit B of the high school building.
