About this file
This is a technical drawing/specification sheet for structured cabling work at Swartz Creek High School, prepared by Convergent Technology Partners. The document shows detailed floor plans for Unit 2A and 2B of the high school's second floor, with specifications for Category 6A UTP cable installation. The design was completed in December 2024/January 2025 and includes placement requirements for wall locations, ceiling drops, telecom cabinets, and bus-bars.
The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A standard, with wall locations to be installed in surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates. The document includes specific installation requirements such as centering wall locations below whiteboards at standard height, concealing cables below ceiling in contractor-provided raceway, and providing ceiling locations with adequate service loops. All Category 6A cables must terminate on white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks, and all cabinets require grounding. The floor plan shows multiple classrooms, including former computer lab spaces, with detailed placement of UTP locations and telecom infrastructure.
