Consolidated Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Modifications, Maintenance and Operations (CAMMO) Industry, One-on-Ones, and Site Visits
I. Description: The Consolidated Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Modifications, Maintenance, and Operations (CAMMO) Acquisition will combine operations, maintenance, and sustainment (OM&S) requirements from three contracts to consolidate AFSCN services onto a single contract vehicle. This “vertical integration” of related work will enable the single CAMMO contractor to optimize resources in order to provide the AFSCN services needed to keep over 170 national security and civil satellites operating to support world-wide operations.
By vertically integrating AFSCN contracted work, the government expects economies of scale, economies of scope, and productivity gains; as well as efficiencies compelled by competition resulting in significant projected savings.
See Sources Sought (CAMMO Solicitation Number FA8823-13-R-0009) announcement dated 15 April 13 for complete description of work to be performed (CAMMO_Sources_Sought_v1_4(3).docx)
