ACCC
This is the AFSCN Communications Control Center, also known as the “A” triple “C”. It operates 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. The “A” triple “C” is manned and operated by Government Civilians. The primary function of the “A” triple “C” is to provide fault detection, isolation, and resolution for the Air Force Satellite Communications Network.
The contractor is responsible for the maintenance and software upkeep of the Distributed Communication Controller (DCC) terminals, Electronic Schedule Dissemination (ESD) 2.7 & 3.0, WANIU Local Controller, CISCO Works, Audio Visual Switching Equipment and test equipment within the ACCC.
(Patch and Test Bench Stock)
This is the Bench stock area. Bench stock assets are consumable items kept on-hand in a work center to increase mission support. Bench stock items are physically stored in a maintenance work area; bench stock customers have ready access to the items as needed. The contractor maintains and manages the bench stock assets.
Patch and Test
This is the Patch and Test area. Patch and Test is manned and operated by the contractor Monday through Friday from 7 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. If required, Patch and Test will be manned by the contractor during off-shift hours to provide launch support. The Patch and Test area is responsible for ensuring all assigned DISA trunks and circuits that traverse through building 12006 meet specified technical parameters. In addition to providing operations and maintenance support for the mission system in Patch and Test, the contractor is also designated as the Communications Control Office Node Site Coordinator for AFSCN circuits across the enterprise. Responsibilities include submitting Telecommunications Service Orders, Requests-For-Service, and Web orders to establish, change or decommission a trunk or circuit. The contractor is responsible for the maintenance and software upkeep of the Distributed Communication Controller (DCC) terminals, Electronic Schedule Dissemination (ESD) 2.7 & 3.0. The contractor is responsible for 8 WANIUs and associated OSR routers and switches.
Adjacent to the Patch and Test area is the cryptographic equipment room also known as DICECOMM. In addition to providing O and M support for the encryption equipment in this room, the contractor is designated as the Communication Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer and will perform COMSEC duties IAW applicable Air Force COMSEC General Publications and COMSEC directives.
SATCOM
This is the DISA Satellite Communications Facility also known as SATCOM. It operates 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. SATCOM is manned and operated solely by the contractor. The contractor is responsible for operating and maintaining two AN/GSC- 52A Medium SATCOM Earth Terminals, two AN/GSC-51 DFCS, two MSC-66 DCSS, and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence Pacific Mission Support package. The dual Defense Satellite Communications Systems earth terminals provide support to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Reconnaissance Office, the White House Communications Agency support for the Pacific Rim, and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence.
Bench Stock Assets
This is the Bench stock area. Bench stock assets are consumable items kept on-hand in a work center to increase mission support. Bench stock items are physically stored in a maintenance work area; bench stock customers have ready access to the items as needed. The contractor maintains and manages the bench stock assets.
SATCOM Terminal
We will now be walking out to one of the AN/GSC-52A Medium SATCOM Earth Terminals; this is also an area for which the contractor is responsible.
