About this file

This document is a detailed Report of Shipment (REPSHIP) data requirements template for shipping hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and inert component parts within or between Continental United States (CONUS) locations. The template specifies 15 mandatory data elements for shipment reporting, including shipment date, estimated time of arrival, carrier information, cargo name, container details, security risk category, explosive weight, hazard classification, and contact information for the responsible person.

The document provides comprehensive instructions for completing REPSHIP documentation, with specific notes addressing complex shipping scenarios such as multiple shipment units, cargo for multiple vessels, and different modes of transportation. Key requirements include identifying transportation control numbers, total weight, rounds/pieces, condition codes, and lot numbers when applicable. The template is designed to standardize reporting for military logistics, with specific guidance for ammunition and sensitive cargo shipments, including provisions for weapons identification by serial number.
