Question 50: Follow on to Question 27 - With a long water service line or small main from the water tie-in, does the government want a fire hydrant or flushing hydrant near the bathhouse? Especially if this building will not be used during winter months.
Answer 50: Please install a flushing hydrant near the bathhouse.
Question 51: Follow on to Question 34 - Is it the Government’s intent to allow long service lines (1”-2” water and 4”-6” sewer) instead of utilizing standard mains (4”-6” water and 8” sewer)? With the connection lengths needed, typically mains would be required per local criteria instead of service lines.
Answer 51: Please utilize whichever size is most appropriate to meet the required pressures and demand for the facility, the flushing hydrant, and to prevent the lines from plugging. It is preferred to use the service lines as appropriate, but it is up to the engineer/designer to determine which size is most appropriate.
Question 52: What is the available fault current at the 75KVA transformer that is adjacent to the football field?
Answer 52: The available fault current at the 75KVA transformer is 8.67KA
Question 53: Does the 250A panel have a main breaker or main lugs only?
Answer 53: The panel has a main breaker
