About this file
This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by Florida Statute 287.087 for vendors bidding on the Northwest Transfer Station Community Collection Center (NWTS CCC) Floor Upgrades project with Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners in Florida. The project involves installation of cast-in-place concrete work for the facility, with the contractor responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supervision, transportation, and equipment necessary for demolition of existing concrete and asphalt paving and installation of new concrete work. The estimated project value is $2,243,136.50, and the work must be completed by a licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida.
The Drug-Free Workplace Form serves as a mandatory certification requirement for bid submission. By signing the form, the offeror certifies that the firm publishes workplace statements prohibiting controlled substance use, informs employees of drug abuse dangers and company policies, provides copies of the statement to all employees engaged in the contract work, notifies employees of the requirement to report convictions within five days, and commits to implementing sanctions or requiring participation in rehabilitation programs for violators. Additionally, a 5% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) subcontractor participation goal has been established for this solicitation, requiring bidders to demonstrate good faith efforts to meet this threshold as part of their bid submission.
