Wekiwa Springs State Park – Site Grading Improvements Wekiwa Springs, Apopka, FL
Statewide Contract CN202, Task Assignment 36, Change Order 2
This Change Order #2 adds in additional scope and subtasks to the original task assignment signed 10/14/2021.
Project Objective: Under the original contract and Change Order #1, Michael Baker (Consultant) completed Plans for grading improvements at the Wekiwa Springs State Park is in Orange County, Florida. Conceptual Plan Option 1 was selected as the path forward for improvements at the park under the original agreement, and final plans were designed under Change Order #1.
This change order will add a waterline extension and irrigation plans to the final design for erosion control and stabilization improvements at the park. No additional survey or data collection (pressure testing, etc.) will be performed under this scope of services. The subtasks outlined below will be amended as follows:
Subtask 6 – Final Design Plans o Addition of Subtask 6.1 Waterline Extension & Irrigation System (NEW SUBTASK)
Subtask 6.1: Waterline Extension & Irrigation System
The Consultant will design and implement a waterline extension and irrigation system into the approved 90% plans completed under Task 5 and prepare for final plans. The waterline extension will be placed down the center of Area 1, terminating at a hose bib connection in a locked valve box near the back of existing retaining wall.
MBI will also design an irrigation system for the grassed center portion of Area 1.
Assumptions:
FDEP will provide approximate location, type and size of existing waterline location via a marked-up site plan.
The Consultant can assume the condition of the existing water line is acceptable for a wet tap.
Existing water pressures are adequate to accommodate additional discharge point.
Existing water pressures are within typical range and adequate for proposed irrigation system.
FDEP Park staff will provide location of existing electrical panel to tap into, as well as photos of the panel and other information (verification of active circuits, Amperage ratings, etc).
The existing electrical panel is assumed to have sufficient capacity to accommodate a new irrigation system control panel. If it is determined electrical upgrades are required to the electric panel to provide sufficient capacity for the irrigation controls, a change order will be required to provide this upgrade.
Deliverables:
Digitally Signed and Sealed Construction Plans (PDF Format) and .DWG format.
Estimated Construction Costs for final plans.
Performance Measure: Final deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
