About this file

This request for proposals solicits detail design and construction of two Class B vessels with options for two additional vessels for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide all resources necessary to deliver the vessels in accordance with specifications, including management to ensure on-schedule completion. The contractor must perform technical and procurement tasks for detail design and construction at their facilities. Options include recommended spare parts, initial outfitting materials, additional crewed survey launches, and special studies. Pricing must be submitted using the attachment. Proposals are due by August 16, 2022. The place of performance is limited to domestic U.S. shipyards. A firm fixed price single award contract is anticipated for products and services under a small business set-aside for shipbuilding.
