About this file

This document is a Demonstration and Training specification section (Section 017900) for the Utilities Infrastructure Project at Fermilab, dated October 13, 2023. The specification outlines comprehensive requirements for instructing Owner's personnel on the operation, maintenance, and training for systems, subsystems, and equipment. Key requirements include developing a detailed instruction program with specific training modules, preparing educational materials, engaging qualified instructors and facilitators, and creating high-resolution digital video recordings of training sessions.

The specification provides detailed guidelines for training content, which must cover system design, operational requirements, documentation review, emergency procedures, equipment operations, adjustments, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair instructions. Training must be conducted on-site using actual in-place equipment, with each training module separately recorded in 15-minute segments. The contractor must submit comprehensive documentation, including an instruction program outline, attendance records, participant evaluations, and video recordings with transcripts, all organized according to the Project Manual's table of contents. The training is to be coordinated with the Owner's operations, with at least seven days' advance notice required for scheduling.
