Communications Provider Access & Campus Distribution
There is only one communications service entrance to the campus thru a series of manholes located off of Lynn Street. This communications pathway consists of two (2) 4” conduits into Building 1 at the basement level that terminates in the Primary Entrance Facility (PEF) Room 17 (Minimum Point of Entrance). The Primary Entrance Facility (PEF) is located in the southwestern corner of the basement in Building 1. This is the location that Verizon has located their point of demarcation.
The Low Voltage Communications Campus Distribution System, which consists of 4” conduits and maintenance holes, is in good condition with a minimum of 50% growth potential for any future Low Voltage Communication System’s expansion efforts and meets the current minimum industry standard. All Telecommunications Rooms have least one (1) and in most cases, two (2) available 4” conduits for any additional backbone cabling that may be required in the future.
