It requires a minimum 26-inch intake height, 57-inch discharge height, 5/8-inch thick 8-inch high cutting edge, and a compression spring trip mechanism. The push frame, hitch adapter, and lift arm must also meet detailed specifications. IDOT reserves the right to inspect plows at the manufacturer's plant or have a pilot model shipped for review prior to final delivery. Plows must be delivered in first-class operating condition subject to IDOT inspection and approval.
For pricing, the snowplows require a full coverage warranty of at least 12 months. The successful bidder must be able to provide prompt parts and service support. Delivery must be made by truck to the specified IDOT locations, with unloading to be handled by tractor-loader or truck wreckers.
