1. FASTENERS SHOULD BE PLACED 1" IN FROM EACH END OF THE SHINGLE WITH A PLUS OR MINUS 1/2"

TOLERANCE. DISTANCE OF A STAPLE FROM THE END OF THE SHINGLE SHOULD BE MEASURED FROM

THE STAPLE LEG CLOSEST TO THE SHINGLE END.

2. THE FASTENERS ABOVE THE CUT-OUTS SHOULD BE PLACED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE MIDDLE OF THE CROWN OF THE STAPLE OR THE CENTER OF THE NAIL HEAD IS PLUS OR MINUS 1" TO EITHER SIDE OF

THE CENTER OF THE CUT-OUT.

3. DEVIATION FROM THE HORIZONTAL UP TO AN ANGLE OF 30 DEGREES IS ACCEPTABLE.

4. FASTENERS IN THE SEALANT WILL BE ACCEPTABLE WHEN THE LOCATION OF THE SEALANT STRIP IS SUCH THAT THE FASTENERS CANNOT BE PLACED ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS PRINTED ON EACH BUNDLE WRAPPER. FASTENERS SHOULD ONLY BE PLACE ABOVE THE SEALANT LINE IF THE LOCATION OF THE SEALANT STRIP IS LESS THAN 3/4" FROM TOP OF CUT-OUT. IF FASTENERS CAN NOT BE PLACED AS DESCRIBED, THEY MAY BE LOCATED NO MORE THAN 1/2" ABOVE THE TOP EDGE OF THE SEALANT

LINE AND MUST BE DRIVEN FLUSH TO THE SURFACE OF THE SHINGLE.

5. ALTERNATE FASTENER LOCATION IS PERMITTED ONLY WHEN BOTTOM EDGE OF SEALANT STRIP IS

LESS THAN 3/4" FROM TOP OF CUT-OUT.

6. ALT. FASTENER LOCATION AT SHINGLE ENDS IS 3" MAX. FROM THE EDGE RAIL SO THAT FASTENERS

SEAT FIRMLY IN THE DECKING MATERIAL. STRICTEST REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE USED.

7. REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EVENT OF CONFLICT WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS

PROVIDED WITHIN THIS DETAIL.

The flexible PVC conduit shall be from the double gang box with a pull string to the single gang box with cover plate located by the 110 volt receptacle in the TPS closet as shown on the drawings. The flexible PVC conduit shall extend one inch maximum into the gang boxes.

6. The Pex sprinkler riser shall permit the rotation of the point of connection around the vertical axis of the sprinkler riser. A brass elbow shall be used to permit this rotation. If CPVC pipe is used, a solvent welded spears short repair coupling shall be installed to permit this rotation.

7. The water connector to the sprinkler riser shall be a 1” cam locking fitting with dust cap that complies with FEMA Spec.

8. The drain and vent manifold shall be provided with drain connections for the TPS tank, the sprinkler riser, the TPS tank overflow and the TPS vent line.
