About this file
This is an Addendum 1 to contract documents that modifies specifications and architectural requirements across nine distinct items.
Item 1 requires impact-resistant glazing assemblies tested and labeled per ASTM E1886 and ASTM E1996 standards for all Type "A" openings measuring 3'-4" W x 2'-8" H and all 3'-4" W x 9'-4" H aluminum door/frame systems with 2'-0" W x 3'-0" H transom glazing. The requirement applies to complete tested assemblies including glazing, framing, anchorage, and associated components, with all references to tempered glazing only deleted. Item 2 revises roof insulation thickness on Sheet A-905 Detail 4/A-905 to specify 2" rigid insulation for Building 400 (Storage Building) and 4" rigid insulation for Buildings 200 and 700 (Well Houses). Item 3 modifies the door schedule on Sheet A-901 to change all FRP door frame materials from "ALUM" to "FRP" with manufacturer's standard gel-coat finish. Item 4 updates door frame details on sheets 4/A-901, 7/A-901, and 8/A-901 to specify "FRP FRAME" instead of "ALUMINUM FRAME." Item 5 adds requirements in Section 042200 Masonry Specification for integrally pigmented CMU with integral water repellent admixture, coordinated with Note 5 on A-201. Item 6 adds a 20-year weathertightness warranty requirement in Section 074113.16 covering roof panels, flashings, trim, sealants, clips, and associated components. Item 7 adds a general note to G-001 clarifying that new materials, equipment, fixtures, supports, and building components shall be provided unless specifically indicated otherwise, with existing components not to be reused or relocated. Item 8 requires contractors to provide 2" empty conduit for communication service on Sheet E-101 Building 100, terminated 5'-0" outside the building. Item 9 references a revised Specification 314116 Bulkhead Construction Section 1.3.B.1 provided as an attachment.
