About this file
This document is a Special Provisions file for an infrastructure project involving the City of Tallahassee and Leon County, Florida, specifically detailing permit requirements for a pump station improvement project. The project involves securing multiple permits, including an NPDES Permit, City of Tallahassee Underground Utilities General Utility Permit, Leon County Environmental Management Permit, and Leon County Right of Way Placement Permit. Contractors are required to examine, review, and comply with all permit conditions, anticipating associated costs without consideration for potential project delays.
The document emphasizes contractor responsibilities, including pre-approval of offsite staging areas through the City's Growth Management Department, documentation of pre-existing site conditions through photographs, and potential restoration work at no additional cost to the City. Contractors must secure road closure permits, provide arboricultural mitigation for impacted trees, and maintain traffic control. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST via Microsoft Teams, with specific connection details provided for virtual attendance. The project involves infrastructure replacement, including forcemain removal and installation, surge tank installation, bypass pumping components, and surface restoration.
