Prototypical questions through December 18 Prototypical Project Questions
1. Pictures of the existing Bldg show stone around the perimeter of the double wide facility. Does the stone base continue under the double wide trailer?
Answer: Stone continues under trailers
2. Is stone around perimeter of the building to be removed with topsoil and grass seed installed per SOW?
Answer: The stone around the perimeter will remain
3. Will owner coordinate removal of trailers and disconnection of trailer utilizes?
Answer: Camp Atterbury will coordinate the moving of trailers as well as utility disconnect
4. Will revised site DWGS include existing site elevations and new Bldg Elevations?
Answer: The revised site plan has elevations
5. Will revised site DWGS include exact Bldg location with dimensions to other Bldgs and structures?
Answer: Building location can be scaled off
6. Is there a place on site to put good excavated soils for future fill?
Answer: West of building location between ditch line and asphalt
7. Exterior windows
a. A2.1 – A5.0 calls for 3’ x 4’ sized windows
b. A3.1 –A1.0 calls for 4’ x 4’ sized windows
c. Which is correct?
Answer: A is correct

a. Are aluminum window frames to be clear or bronze finish?

9. Window sills
a. A2.1 – A5.0 calls for ½” thick solid surface windows sills
b. A3.1 – A1.1 calls for 1 ½” thick solid surface window sills
c. Which is correct?
Answer: B is correct

a. Note A2.0 calls for wood blocking at items
i. How many TV’s will be in project?
ii. How many Projection screens will be in project?
iii. How many boards will be in project?
b. Are the TV’s, projection screens and boards furnished and installed by the owner?
Answer: No wood blocking in project
11. Sheet A3.1
a. Notes A3.0 & A3.1 – it is unclear which walls if any go from the floor to the deck
b. Do any walls go to deck?
c. Do all walls only go 6” above the ceiling?
d. Are all ceilings at 9’-0” above finished floor?
e. No ceiling heights are shown on finish schedule or ceiling plan
Answer: All ceiling heights will be 9’. Corridor, mechanical and communications walls will continue to the deck
12. Do building downspouts dump out onto the ground?
a. If not do they tie into a storm sewer?
Answer: Dump on to splash guards
13. Please verify that a fire suppression system is not required for this structure.
Answer: No Fire Suppression
14. Is a geo-technical report available for the proposed project site, or for nearby soils? Are there any known problems with expansive soils on this site?
Answer: Unaware of any soil conditions
15. Electrical, paragraph D: Lithonia LHQM fixtures appear to apply only to LED Exit signs and not 2’x4’ lay-in light fixtures. Please provide performance and efficiency requirements for the lay-in light fixtures.
Answer: Provide submittals for Lithonia 2’x4’ lay-in light fixtures
16. PEB bay spacing has been requested as four bays @ 25’ on center (O.C.) This layout works fine on the elevation drawing, however, on the floor plan, the 25’ bay spacing puts a column right in the middle of doors #1 and #2. Shall the contractor utilize bay spacing of 20’ O.C. (appears to clear all openings except for one window in the common area), or shall the contractor utilize irregular bay spacing in order for the columns to clear door openings #1 and #2?
Answer: 20’ oc is fine
