BIDDER’S QUESTIONS AND GOVERNMENT REPLY
(Questions that may be of general interest to all Bidders and/or the Government and that are not readily answered by the proceeding changes will appear below. These questions may have been paraphrased or altered to represent several questions regarding the same subject and/or simply revised to clarify and simplify the question(s).
Questions and answers are issued to the bidders “For Information Only” and do not revise the solicitation, plans or specifications.)
1. Q. Thank you for your Q&A responses in Amendment#8. However, there still seems to be some ambiguity regarding some of the Q&A Reponses. In reference to Lee Barracks. Amendment#8 Q&A#38 clarifies that the Repair Quantities table reflected in the exterior elevation AD200 series drawings are to address additional quantities over and above what is shown on the AD200 drawings. The Limestone restoration quantity per Repair Quantities table [Lee] is 1,080sf [all elevations combined]. However, bid form CLIN0004AA calls for 846sf. Which is correct? Per the Q&A response the 1,080sf should be used and if that is the case then the bid form quantity needs to be revised to 1,080sf.
Amendment#8 Q&A#38 we feel is accurate as the bid form quantity has been revised to match the total summation of Repair Quantities table for Granite Veneer Repointing.
The granite unit Repair Quantities table [Lee] is 2,280sf [all elevations combined] However, bid form CLIN0004AC calls for 1,500sf. Which is correct? Based on the above Q&A responses the 2,280sf should be used and if that is the case then the bid form quantity needs to be revised to 2,280sf.
This also applies to the Sherman Barracks CLIN Items 0013AA, 0013AB & 0013AC. Please advise.
A. See the revised price schedule attached.
2. Q. Please advise which is correct information for dryer outlets: Second Floor: Riser shows 5 - 30A Circuits, Floor plan shows 5 - 50A Outlets, MDP2 panel schedule shows 0 branch breakers.
Third, Fourth and Fifth Floors: Risers shows 3 - 30A circuits, Floor Plans show 2 - 50A Outlets, MDP panel schedules show 2 30A branch breakers A. 5-30A circuits are shown on panel RP2 schedule (not MDP2) matching the floor plan. The 5- 30A circuits have been removed from MDP2 riser since no dryers are connected to MDP2. See amendment revised drawing E-611. Revised related keyed note from 50A circuits to 20A circuits. See amendment revised drawing E-102. MDP2 schedule shows 0 breakers because no dryer is connected to
it. There are 2-30A dryers only on each 3,4&5 floors. One dryer has been removed from each MDP-3, MDP-4 & MDP-5. See amendment revised drawing E-611. Revised related keyed note from 50A circuits to 20A circuits. See amendment revised drawings E-103, E-104 & E-105. 2-30A breakers is correct. Panel schedules on E-800 & E-801 are correct.
