About this file
This document provides details for a forthcoming solicitation for the Hydra-70 Rocket System. The solicitation will be for full rate production of the Hydra-70 Rocket System hardware and associated engineering services. The Hydra-70 Rocket System is a 2.75-inch unguided rocket family employed on multiple rotary and fixed wing aircraft used by the U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and foreign militaries. The acquisition will be for procurement of the Hydra-70 Rocket System and its variants including various rocket motors, warheads, containers and components. The engineering services will provide program management, engineering, safety, configuration management, testing and evaluation, production support and administrative efforts to maintain the system. The government anticipates awarding a single-source hybrid firm-fixed-price and cost reimbursement contract for a period of five years to a qualifying offeror that provides the best value. The solicitation is restricted to companies that are members of the National Technology and Industrial Base.
