About this file

This is a demolition elevation drawing set for the Union Gospel Mission's Simonka Place renovation project in Keizer, Oregon, prepared by Merrick Lentz Architect. The drawings detail multiple exterior demolition elevations including courtyard north, east, and west views, as well as loading and entry elevations. The document provides specific demolition notes for removing existing lap siding, plywood siding, windows, frames, fascia boards, gutters, downspouts, portions of roof structure, concrete columns, and exterior walls.

The drawing set includes detailed specifications for temporary shoring requirements, weather protection measures, and structural considerations during demolition work. The demolition notes indicate careful preservation of certain existing elements like composition roofing and vertical channel siding while ensuring proper support for remaining structures during the removal process. These technical drawings are part of the RFP set dated December 19, 2024, for the facility renovation project with a total budget of approximately $3.38 million, which is partially funded through a federal HOME-ARP grant and subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements.
