About this file
This document is a Supplemental Quality Assurance Provision for a federal contract to supply jet fuel. The contractor must have a quality control plan in place that supports all aviation fuel produced for the contract. As a minimum, the plan must include full specification testing of each batch tank and documentation on a Certificate of Quality. The plan must also specify procedures for injecting additives at all locations and ensuring homogeneous blending, inspecting rail cars for suitability, and meeting pipeline specifications when shipping via pipeline. Documentation requirements include providing Certificates of Quality and additive information to the Quality Assurance Representative and pipeline or transportation companies. The contractor must retain all quality and quantity records for three years after final payment. The contractor may also provide transportation for government quality inspectors, and include this cost in the contract price.
