About this file
This document is a 15% Concept Plan for a hydronic piping system, part of the Statement of Work (SOW) Attachment D2 for the FA462025R0001 federal contract opportunity. The technical diagram details a multiple boiler configuration with multiple temperature loops, providing a comprehensive schematic for boiler and pump installation.
The plan specifies detailed technical requirements for boiler piping, including pipe size recommendations based on the number of units (ranging from 2-8 units) and boiler models (400-1000). Key technical specifications include: boiler circulation pumps must pump THROUGH the boilers, mixing valves are required for low temperature loop protection, and careful attention must be paid to indirect water heater Btu transfer capabilities. The diagram includes a legend of components such as air separators, circulation pumps, flow check valves, pressure gauges, and various sensors and valves, emphasizing the complexity of the hydronic piping system design.

Figure 7-6 Multiple Boilers - Multiple Temperatures
Please note that these illustrations are meant to show system piping concept only, the installer is responsible for all equipment. The installer must follow all manufacturer’s instructions for each system component. The installer is responsible for compliance with local codes.
NOTICE
CAUTION Mixing valves are required for the protection of low temperature loops.
CAUTION Indirect water heaters are capable of transferring a limited number of Btu’s into the water. Ensure boiler output does not not exceed indirect water heater transfer capabilities.
