| The Government made price adjustments under ETS1 for extra-ordinary events beyond the contractor's control. Are there similar provisions in ETS2? | Yes. This intent was explicit in previous ETS2 answers posted. GSA will make this intent more clear via an amendment. GSA demonstrated leadership and partnered with industry, making adjustments in contract price for unforeseen major industry wide changes which affected both corporate and Government travel. This included modifying the price under ETS1 and other contracts when the Global Distribution System (GDS) changed its pricing model as a result of changes in their airline agreements. Another example is when the |
Government's E-Authentication project changed direction early in the ETS1 contract—GSA modified the contracts to account for the change. Yet one more example is when GSA modified the ETS1 contract to account for the GSA SmartPay charge card conversion. GSA was not unreasonable in this regard, even under a firm-fixed price contract.
