About this file

This is a Buy American Certificate form (FAR 52.225-2, October 2022) that requires offerors to certify the domestic content status of end products being proposed for federal contracts. The certificate mandates that offerors identify each end product as either domestic or foreign, with specific documentation requirements for foreign products. For foreign end products that do not consist wholly or predominantly of iron or steel, offerors must indicate whether they exceed 55 percent domestic content, with the exception of COTS (Commercially Available Off-the-Shelf) items. Additionally, offerors must separately list line-item numbers of domestic end products containing critical components as defined in FAR 25.105. The form includes a certification statement requiring an authorized company representative to sign and confirm compliance with subcontracting limitations upon contract award.

This certificate applies to the VA contract opportunity Y1DA--630A4-26-401 for MRI AHU Modification at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. The project involves design-build services for installing a dedicated cooling source to support an air handling unit serving the MRI suite, with an estimated magnitude between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and a 270 calendar-day performance period. Offerors responding to this solicitation (36C24226R0060) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 2, must complete and submit the Buy American Certificate as part of their proposal to demonstrate compliance with domestic content requirements.
