If while conducting the LUC inspections LUCs are found to have been violated, the contractor shall notify the NAVFAC Remedial Project Manager immediately. The contractor shall be prepared for inclement weather downtime or the presence of a polar bear, which may prevent the contractor personnel from mobilizing to the site. Based on the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 field work at Point McIntyre, weather days are a reasonable expectation for the LTM/O field work as is the possible presence of a polar bear at the site. Weather days and would be awarded if the contractor requires more than 5 days for the field work (NOT including mobilization and demobilization). The contractor shall propose a daily rate (negotiable) for each day field work cannot be performed due to weather and/or a polar bear. During the execution of field activities, the Contractor shall notify the Government whenever a weather event has occurred that prevents on-site work and shall provide documentation (Daily Production Report or Daily Quality Control Report) in support of each requested weather day. The option will be awarded per weather day if necessary during the field work. This option expires at the end of the field work.
