About this file
This is a Roof Survey/Assessment Scope of Work attachment that outlines the specific deliverables and methodology required for evaluating roof conditions at government facilities. The contractor must conduct tenant and facility personnel interviews to document roof history and existing problems, perform comprehensive visual surveys of all roof system components, and identify defective areas and potential moisture infiltration sources. The detailed written report must include roof age, type, and deck specifications; general and specific condition assessments; flashing and penetration evaluations; hazardous material test results; moisture and thermal imaging data; core samples where applicable; drain and gutter conditions; wall-to-roof interface conditions; repair recommendations; remaining roof life estimates; and sketches and photographs. The assessment must conclude with detailed cost estimates for all identified repairs needed.
This scope of work is associated with an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) maintenance construction contract administered by the Department of the Navy Naval Facilities Engineering Command for roofing services at three Department of Navy sites in Pennsylvania: Philadelphia Naval Business Center (4921 South Broad St), Naval Support Activity Philadelphia (700 Robbins St), and Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg (5450 Carlisle Pike). The contract covers roof repair, replacement, and associated maintenance work at these installations.
