About this file
Attachment B is a Scope of Work for a Roof Survey and Assessment. The document outlines a comprehensive roof inspection process requiring the contractor to conduct an interview with facility personnel to understand the roof's history, perform a visual survey of the roof systems, locate defective areas, and identify potential moisture infiltration sources. The detailed roof walk-through must produce a written report covering 17 specific elements including roof age, type, deck type, general and specific conditions, flashing, penetrations, hazardous material test results, moisture and thermal conditions, core samples, drainage systems, wall-to-roof condition, recommended repairs, remaining roof life, and a detailed cost estimate. The scope emphasizes a thorough, multi-faceted examination that goes beyond a surface-level inspection to provide a comprehensive assessment of the roof's current state and potential future maintenance needs.
