8/21/25 10 of 62 SF1442 In SF1442, the past performance projects must be completed within
5 years of the date of issuance of this RFP. It is requested to revise the project completion from the date of issuance of the RFP to the date of submission of proposals.
This will allow for evaluation of the most recent contractor project experiences by providing a more up-to-date and accurate presentation of contractor capabilities and performance history. It may also help the
Government mitigate the risk of awarding contracts based on potentially outdated or less relevant project experiences.
Lastly, it will also enhance competition by attracting a wider pool of qualified firms.
Please bid per RFP. Projects submitted for the offeror shall have been completed within the past five (5) years of the date of issuance of this RFP.

2.2.1
Wire mesh spec 102213, calls for wire mesh to be 10 gauge with a 1-
1/2'' pattern in the specs. However, the drawings (A507 detail A4) calls out wire mesh to be 6 gauge with a 2'' pattern. Which is desired, 10 gauge or 6 gauge?
Provide 6 gauge wire, 2" woven diamond mesh as indicated in the details.
09/16/25 3 102213
2.6.2
Calls for "sheet metal base panels" with the upper portion to be standard wire mesh. Front elevations on drawings A302 details A3 & C3 do not show any type of metal sheet metal base.
The wire mesh section detail on drawing A504 detail A4 says there is an " angle base" but I am not sure if that is the same as a " sheet metal base panels" as asked for in the spec. Is a sheet metal base needed? If it is needed, then how tall does the sheet metal base need to be? Last, but not least, if the sheet metal base is desired, is it in additional to the wire mesh or in lieu of the wire mesh in that panel?
Provide panels per the
Drawings. Continuous base angles are required, however
"sheet metal base panels" are not required.
09/16/25 A507
Drawing A507 detail A4 - At the top of the detail, it says "
Continuous 5 x 2 x 14 gauge angle". Is this Continuous angle more for closing off the 2'' gap in all areas or is it more means to attaching the material to the ceiling. The wire mesh post system that I would be using has post that have extensions with footplates on them to be able to anchor and secure them to the vault above thus not needing this continuous angle that is shown.
This is a very sturdy way of securing the post to the ceiling and would not need the continuous angle. But if the Continuous angle is more intended to close the gap off continuously so "items" could not be passed through the gap -then that is different and I would supply angle to close it off of security reasons.
The continuous top angle is required to eliminate any gaps.
09/16/25 S-201
Please confirm that the upturned beams at the vault ceiling slab show in Detail A3 on S-201 can be placed after the supported slab has been placed.
If confirmed, please also confirm that a horizontal construction joint is allowed at the top of slab elevation
There cannot be a horizontal joint between the beams and slab, and the beams cannot be placed after the slab. The bottom beam reinforcing shown in section A3/S-201 is in the plane of the slab and cannot be poured separately from the rest of the beam. A vertical construction joint can be placed at the side edge of the beam to slab interface as long as the slab bars are placed in a manner to achieved full lap development length through the bottom of the beam. A construction joint must not cut through the beam.
09/16/25 FX001
There are 4 exterior overhangs / canopies on the project large enough that they may require sprinklers.
1- One exterior canopy at the main entry at the end of corridor 101
2- Two door overhangs, one on each side of the building at the entrances to the cleaning area
Provide dry sidewalls sprinklers to protect these areas.
3- One large canopy at the east end of the building covering the full width at column “I” north to south.
These areas are greater than 4’ in depth and capable of covering storage below them. Will these areas require fire sprinklers? If so please clarify if the systems should be wet or dry.
09/16/25 FX001
We are assuming Wet Pipe
Sprinklers are not required for the attic area or area above the vault roof as no Fire Suppression Floor plan is provided for that area.
Please confirm this assumption.
The Vault Deck Plan must be protected with wet pipe sprinklers. The sprinkler criteria must comply with Light
Hazard with Sloped Ceiling. A minimum density of 0.10-gpm/sf with a design area of
1,950-sf and a hose allowance of 250 gpm must be used.
Sprinkler layout must comply with NFPA 13 Light Hazard
Spacing. Sprinklers must have a minimum k-factor of 5.6.

Note J on sheet I-601 and I-602 says ALL GWB & EXPOSED
CEILINGS TO BE PAINTED
(PNT-6) however PNT-6 is not shown on the finish legend on sheet I-602. What is the finish of
PNT-6?
This is a typo. Ceiling paint is
PNT-5. Room finish schedule has been corrected.

2.2.4
The Overhead door 119B is called out on the door schedule to be an insulated coiling overhead door per sheet A-601. The spec for overhead coiling doors lists sections for electric door operators per spec 083323-2.2.4, however, the electric drawing E-101 and E-
104 do not show power at the overhead door. Is the overhead coiling door to have an electric motor per 083323-2.2.4? If so, please specify electrical and circuit requirements.
Correct. Provide disconnect for door and connect to panel
H1. Door motor to be 480v, 3ph. Provide 15A/3P breaker.

Sheet CU101
Note #17
Amendment 3, Sheet CU101, Note
#17 references details on Sheets C-
528 and C-529. However, the detail on Sheet C-528 is missing, and Sheet C-529 is not included in the amendment set. Please provide the missing detail and Sheet C-
529.
These sheets are included with the original package as they have not been revised by amendment.
10/07/25 Dwg CU208 Detail A2
Detail A2 of Dwg CU208
(Amendment 0003) indicates the force main diameter is 2.5". For the jack and boring operation across the road, the 6" casing specified will require spacers to support the 2.5" force main.
However, spacers are not typically manufactured for this 2.5" pipe size. Please advise.
The portion of the sewer line requiring jack and bore has been changed to an 8" PVC gravity sewer line and an additional manhole has been added.
10/07/25 Dwg C-528
In Dwg C-528 (Amendment 0001), the systems’ requirements for
Duplex Pump Operation, as compared to Single Pump
Operation, may not be feasible when using a centrifugal-style

submersible pump. If the Total
Dynamic Head in a system is doubled, a centrifugal pump cannot double the flow. Instead, a
Positive Displacement pump would be required. Please advise or clarify.
Duplex pump station is provided for redundancy and alternating pump operations.

Key Note
#10
Note #4 and Key Note #10 on Dwg
CU102 (Amendment 0001) state that the contractor must coordinate with the COR for the removal and replacement of existing pumps.
However, without details on the existing pump manufacturer, model, wet well diameter and depth, hatch dimensions, discharge connection size, guide rail specifications, control panel configuration, and other critical system components, it is not possible to evaluate or offer a suitable replacement for pump P-
1219. Due to the lack of this information, we are unable to determine what modifications may be required. Please provide additional information to allow for proper evaluation and pump selection.

Regarding the 2-1/2" force main piping withing the bore casing, we are being advised by plumbing suppliers that they do not make casing spacers for this O.D. of 2
1/2” PVC pipe. Please advise.
The portion of the sewer line requiring jack and bore has been changed to an 8" PVC gravity sewer line and an additional manhole has been added.

Regarding sheet C-528 of the
Technical Amendment 0001 in the bid docs. The engineer’s request regarding the Duplex Pump
Operation required, compared to the Single Pump Operation required, does not work when using a centrifugal-style submersible pump. If the Total
Dynamic Head in a system is doubled, a centrifugal pump cannot double the flow as well. That would require a Positive
Displacement type pump. Please clarify the type of pump required in this performance scenario.
Disregard the duplex pump operation data. The design intent is for a single pump to satisfy the peak flow requirement of 60 gpm and a total dynamic head of 41 ft.
Duplex pump station is provided for redundancy and alternating pump operations.

There is a note that the contractor must coordinate with the COR for the removal and replacement of the
P-1219 pumps. Additional details of the existing setup are required:
what is the existing pump manufacturer and model number, what is the wet well diameter & depth, wet well hatch dimensions, discharge connection size, guide rails size, control panel information, etc. Without this information, we will be unable to accurately price replacement pumps, as there would be no way to determine what modifications may be needed. Please provide all necessary information regarding

the existing P-1219 pump conditions.
