Drawing S-301, and other drawings, show an existing Duck bank underneath the pier deck in a green color. Please confirm that only in areas where we remove the existing concrete deck, we have to remove the existing duct bank underneath the deck as well, and not elsewhere.
Please also confirm how the duct bank is constructed. Is it duct suspended by brackets or is it a concrete encased duct bank?
Confirmed. The existing duct banks are concrete encased.

Note 1
Due to most of the piles for Pier 10 being thin-walled steel with mostly unreinforced concrete, we anticipate there will be pile breakages during extraction attempts. If common industry methods are used for pile extraction and result in a break rate of 25% or more for the first 4 bents, can we assume that the remaining piles can be cut off at mudline.
Please see Amendment 0002 Continuation Sheet and Pier P1044- Amend 0002 - Amended Drawings provided with Amendment 0002. Notes have been added on the pile cut off requirements if they cannot be pulled.
