About this file
This document contains a federal contract specification update and opportunity. The specification update is for repair and replacement of deck house exterior plating and roofing on barge YFNX-20, including removal and installation of new honeycomb composite roof and wall panels conforming to military specifications for strength, flame resistance, and water intrusion testing. The update also requires assessment and upgrade of the barge's fire and flooding alarm and warning system, including removal and installation of a new control panel, thermal detectors, liquid level switches, horns, bells, and cable. The contractor must utilize an authorized OEM service provider, template locations from existing conditions, bond and ground equipment, and accomplish operational testing.
The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number N40027-23-R-0010 issued by the Naval Sea Systems Command Department of the Navy to accomplish the work specified on barge YFNX-20 at the Naval Postgraduate Training Unit.
