With the exception of the 5 linear feet of handrail (3.2.2), contractor was unable to identify lines 3.2.1.1 through
3.2.6 during ship check or in the references.
Would the government please re-asses and correct if needed?
Reference 2.2 GN #7 states to “Fabricate a rolling stairway …. Per section view “2-A” of reference 1. If contractor is accomplish this step such reference would be required. Also this reference would be required to accomplish Detail “3” of reference 2.2 unless a length is provided by the government.

QUESTION 021 Work Item 110-11-001 Work Item 110-11-001 calls for preservation of the Underwater Hull, including Freeboard up to Main Deck, Frame 0-50, Port and Starboard. Per the docking plan there are only 13 frames. Can you verify the portion of the Underwater Hull and Freeboard that are to be preserved?

QUESTION 022 Work Item 631-11-001
Upon review of the work package contractor identified that IAW attachment B of 150-11-001 for panel replacement, it states that: “The interior and exterior facings shall be .024 “stucco-embossed aluminum”. This are very thin surfaces.
Specification paragraph 3.1 calls out for: “009-32 of 2.1, including Table 3, Lines 25, 26, or 27, Columns A, B, and D,” This section of the 009-32 Table #3 is for steel surfaces in interior spaces.

QUESTION 032 Solicitation The solicitation excludes the pools/front loads for Cat I and II NAVSEA standard Items 009-03 para 3.3.1, 009-10 3.2.1.1, and 009-32 para 3.1.2.1.
The information available in the solicitation and the references for the vessel do not provide sufficient data to determine what costs to include for removal of hazardous materials.

QUESTION 034 Solicitation The Solicitation lists two Option Items for towing and states ""the Contracting Officer may exercise, if at all, any of the Option Items"".
The solicitation also listed the award dates for the two towing Option 992-11-033 and 992-11-004 items as A+3. If A represents Availability start, that will not provide sufficient time to arrange for the tow by the milestone date.
1. Please confirm that the Contracting Officer will award one of the two towing Option Items.
2. Please confirm that each contractor is only to price the Option item for towing that is applicable to the location of the contractor's facility - either 992-11-003 in Charleston area for a local tow or 992-11-004 at a facility that will require an inland tow.
3. Please confirm that the applicable towing Option item will be awarded upon award of the contract in order to support the towing milestone date.
4. Please define ""A"" in regards to the Option item award dates.
ANSWER 034 Solicitation The option exercise dates for Work Items 992-11-003 and 992-11-004 was changed to no later than A-19.

KCON Construction declined to Bid the work item. A request for a quote to Endure Products Inc, Miami was requested on 9/27/2023, and to date, they have not responded. In addition to requesting a quote via EMAIL, an attempt to call Endure Products Inc using the number on the web page was also to no avail.
Since the alternative panels (BQ 030) are not desired and contractor has exhausted all efforts to locate the panels meeting the requirements of Attachment A and B, Can the Government provide the panels as GFM of provide a POC and phone number of the known source?
ANSWER 036 Solicitation Yes, a known source is Panel Built Inc., 866.977.3584, www.panelbuilt.com. This change is incorporated under ERRATA Six.
