About this file
This document provides instructions for downloading Statement of Work (SOW) Appendix A related to RFP-LBNF-357714-JD for the LBNF Argon Receiving System. The RFP is issued by the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
The scope of the LBNF Argon Receiving System contract includes engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and acceptance testing of an argon receiving system at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. The system will include two dedicated truck offloading stations, two 50 m3 liquid argon storage tanks, and associated equipment to vaporize and transfer the argon to the LBNF cryogenic subsystems. The successful bidder will furnish all labor, engineering services, equipment, and materials to deliver the system per the SOW requirements. The contract is expected to continue until the end of 2033 to support the filling of the DUNE neutrino detector cryostats, which require almost 70,000 tons of liquid argon in total.
