About this file
This document provides interface information for the Item Master Logistics Capability Initiative (IMLCI) program. There are currently 119 inbound and 83 outbound interfaces between the Item Management Control System and other systems like the Federal Logistics Information System, with interface details still to be determined. The government intends for the IMLCI Integrated Program Office to implement interfaces through configuration of the chosen product when possible, but custom development may be required if an interface cannot be configured. A summary of interface and record layout information is provided in a table. The related solicitation seeks one contractor to award an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract including the initial delivery order to develop the IMLCI, which will provide the Air Force with a single authoritative source for comprehensive and accurate item master data to support logistics processes and initiatives.

Text version
Distribution A. Approved For Public Release The interface information included with the Technical Data Package is current for the interfaces inbound to and outbound from the Item Management Control System (IMCS) and are subject to change with the IMLCI implementation.
The interfaces to and from the Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) will not be implemented since AFEMS will be retired before IMLCI is implemented.
The interfaces between IMLCI and Federal Logistics information System (FLIS) will take advantage of newer technologies and will not exactly replicate the existing IMCS/FLIS interfaces. The exact implementation details of the interfaces between IMLCI and FLIS are TBD at this time.
It is the government’s intent for the IMLCI Integrated Program Office (IPO) to implement all interfaces through configuration of chosen product. In the event the IMLCI IPO team is unable to implement one or more interfaces by configuration of the product, custom development outside of the COTS product may be required.
Complete details of the content, format, transfer software, etc. will be provided to the winning bidder. A summary of the information is included in the table below.
